You just happen to be reading a post in the 97-03 section of the forum. So one can infer that the op has a 97-03 F150. The highest rating alt available for the given generation is a 160a that was in severe duty/gov't use vehicles. Most have a factory 130a. It make about 68amps @ idle which 675rpms depending on pcm programming.

Just mount 2 alternators or even 3 and buy an extended belt.
