I mean the gear that your speedo runs off of...

So not at 60 with cruise on at 1,700rpm in overdrive? Because your setup and the math (can't go wrong there) says that's impossible...

I understand that, I know that's how it should be but According to the traps its not. And same with my dads truck his is 3 mph off always and he's on 35s with stock 4.10s. My brothers is also on 35s but his is anywhere from 3-8 off depending on speed. I feel like maybe my speed curve is just a small one from 5-7 or so but i never go fast enough go notice the difference much. Idfk lol alls I know is that's how it is and that's how I've been driving it .

I don't believe it and you can't show me because you can't tell me how much your speedo is off at 60mph... speed traps aren't good enough for me as I've already stated... and you haven't steadily gone by one at 60mph and read your speedo anyway...

If it's off 5mph at 35
At 60 it's off 9mph

Yaaay MATH!

That being said at 60mph your speedo says 51... toss your speedo around 51mph and tell me what you're running for rpm it ain't 1,700... this is still not accurate because you're using traps... so I'm not even sure that your off exactly 5

If it is 5mph off at 35... your speedo will read 1,473rpm at 51... Which is 60mph for you mah man hahaha

Your whole family had broken trucks hahaha!!

Seriously, your fighting with math and science and my test earlier that doesn't involve uncalibrated cops traps on back roads with other cars around you or the neighbours cat running from a coyote...

Lol I know I feel dumb trying to fight math but based on the experience I have that's where I'm getting my answers. I have gone by one steady at 60 and it reads 55 every time. I live in Florida all my roads are flat as glass everywhere so its pretty easy to hold an exact speed. Idk I'm not gonna argue it I'll just get it calibrated when I up to 37s because I'm not good at math by any means and I don't wanna play the guessing game while i drive

I'm not trying to be a dick man... just trying to help....

I feel that I've helped you in this thread in deciding which gears to get... Although you seemed to know what you needed anyway, maybe we all helped make up your mind...

But if you don't believe me with this stuff... and this actually plays a role in your gear swap to monitor what you're running afterward and choose the correct speedo gear to calibrate the speedo... than disregard everything I've said in this thread, it's all jibberish...

MATH BOOOOOOO!!

Seriously though, no hard feelings bud, it's hard on these forums to take things lightly sometimes when it seems like someone is being a jerk (that would be me right now but it's not intended)

Haha no its not like that I appreciate all the time and help you've given me, it actually helped me out a lot with decisions, and I understand everything your saying and its all logical, but for some reason not how it seems to be working on my truck lol.

Cuz you're using cops crappy roadside equipment to clock yourself for a split second on the way by? Maybe? And not checking two drastically different speeds the same day past the same one... use gps and clock your speed, stay steady and allow it to sync up... once the gps is steady you're good to read... read engine rpm and speed at 30... then 60 then 40 then 75... all while being safe btw... this is what I did earlier today although I didn't need to prove anything to myself, just passing the real world info to you (you owe me $1.93 btw)... and you'll find that you don't have an even gap between actual speed and what your speedo says throughout the range of speed... I know it sounds weird but we're working with gears here, not gps or a radar...

If you think your way is better... use it when you calibrate your speedo instead of talking to me or someone else that knows how to figure it out mathematically

Now I'm just being a bumm but it's just for kicks

If you need any further help we're here for ya bud! That's enough of this crap for me today cuz I'm beating a dead donkey
