Haven't owned my 2001 f150 for long and starting to run into some issues. When I hit the gas at a little better than easing into it, I can hear a popping noise coming from the front end. I replaced the u joint thinking maybe that was the issue but for sure not. The truck I believe sat a while as I'm seeing quite a bit of rust on the underside of the body. Anyone ran into this issue? Thanks in advanced!

Could be may things if its been sitting did you grease any of the front-end fittings?

Haven't greased anything no not yet I was leaning to that as well. We got a lot of rain and it seemed like when it was wet outside it was fine.

Check your manifold studs too, one or more may have broken. The same thing is going on in my F-350, I have 3 snapped studs though lol.

Both of my front hubs popped when they went bad but it shouldn't have anything to do with acceleration if it were that. does it change when you turn right or left?

It only makes a pop when I accelerate. When I turn its fine. It doesn't do it all the time but just don't want anything to fall apart.
