I'd reset the KAM, see if it comes back before doing anything here.

You can pull the PCM fuse to turn off the CEL(MIL) to erase the KAM (KeepAliveMemory) or, - disconnect the battery (neg first then pos), touch neg and pos cables together, then reconnect (pos first then neg) or, - use a scanner if you have one.

You can also just disconnect the neg on the battery for a 1/2 hr or so, - that'll do it as well.
He has a 03 so he only has one sensor on the driver side head behind the alternator. Correct?

Update same code came back today. It's 30 outside and I drove it probably 30 miles. Which should I replace first the t-stat or the sensor?

Might as well change both. Is it bad this will be my 3rd time changing the antifreeze in the 5,000 mikes I've owned it?

You shouldn't need to change your tstat. Just change the sensor.

Its not a thermostat. If you have a ability to see what the actual temperature the PCM is seeing vs a thermal gun it would help. You have a bad CHT. I recently had to do it to my 03.

do you have to change the antifreeze to replace it? Or is it a un plug un screw and replace thing? Or do I have to have fancy tools and all that fun stuff?

I meant do I have to drain the coolant to change the sensor? Haha It'll be the 3rd antifreeze change since I've had it in less then 6,000 miles
