i just took it for a ride and when it started to bog down shifted it to neutral rpms jumped up and trucked rolled smoother . then put it in 1 it drives better drives to say 20 mph then throw it in 2 it immediately comes to a stop like someone jacked on the brakes.

why would a transmission with 21k be in the junkyard???????????? If it were a newish tranny (21k) they would've took it out prior to scrapping the truck to try and recoup some $$. At Least any sane person I know would... Looks like you got the ol' shaft on this one.

It may have only had 21k my mechanic said it was the cleanest tranny he's seen out of a junk yard

Miran- it sounds like a trans issue- good, bad, or otherwise-
Cleanliness is not an indication of condition.
I would take it to a trusted transmission shop and have them run a check on the internal conditions ( bands, clutches, planetaries, valve body,etc.)-
Another thought- this trans is in a van, correct?
Was this trans pulled from a truck?

Yes it's in a van came out of a van put around 3-400 Miles on it drove flawless in that time

Miran- ok, have you added any thing to the van in that time period? ( stereo, lighting,etc.)?- just asking, because of elect. shorts or grounding issues.

The day before I changed out dpfe sensor drove it like 30 miles then it started happening. I had a cel so changed it. I tried putting old part in to see if that was it but same thing

Miran- ok- have you checked the trans wiring harness for bad spots( too close to exhaust, etc.)
My thought is if the engine runs ok when in park or neutral, its not likely an engine issue,
If you put in 2nd, and take off does it happen then?
