**PLEASE HELP THE NEW GUY**crank position sensor
Hey, guys
I really dig this forum. I finally joined after lurking for a while. I really need some help.
I parked my '02 Screw (5.4L) 30 days ago when I went out of the country on bid-ness. when I get back and fire her up, it spits and sputters like all hell. I figure bad gas after 30 days of no motion. Added stabilizer and changed the fuel filter.... No change. Had the injectors cleaned...No change. The Service Engine light came on and gave me codes for 1) misfire on #5 and 2) Crank position sensor. I changed all of the plugs and the coil on #5 and got the computer flashed. It ran great for 3 miles. Now its the same thing.
Here's my deal. I have no idea about a crank position sensor or how hard or easy (for a relatively kinda OK mechanic type fella) to work on. And where in the blue hell is this thing?
Your help would be really appreciated!!
