Actually the best factory springs for these trucks are the G code from a 03 7700 2wd. I have them on my truck and the springs alone lifted the rear of the truck 1.5". Dont waste your time with torsion keys just crank you factory ones.

I wasn't look for anything, we where actually at the scrap yard to get an axle for my brothers truck and I seen the 250 lol. The springs have to come out of a F-250 light duty (they look like our trucks, just have F-250 on the fenders). With the new springs you won't need a leveling kit, these springs will raise your back end up and if you are a 4x4 use your torsion keys to raise the front end.

The springs costed me 70 bucks (after returning mine for a core charge), and I got the add a leaf from the rough country dealer in town installed for 100 bucks, and new U-bolts for 74 bucks after tax. I didn't need the new U-bolts but the ones that came with my lift kit kept stretching so I decided to get thicker ones.

I installed the springs my self because the mechanic I talked to quoted me 600 bucks to buy and install stock F-150 leaf springs, in fact he told me that the shop would charge me extra fees for putting something on the truck that isn't stock (when I asked about the F-250 springs).

I took a look at SDsprings for you, they will sell you a 4/1 (which is what I have after the add a leaf) for 88 bucks each. So figure 100 bucks each if you are lucky, another 100 bucks if you need new U-bolts and what ever shocks are. I would buy your leaf springs from a retail store or craigslist to avoid shipping. SDsprings wants to charge 100 bucks to ship the springs to me lol.

How much is it going to cost you for the mechanic to do it? I would do it yourself. If you don't feel comfortable doing the springs at least level it yourself it is just tightening 2 bolts. Leaf springs are easy as well, just make sure you have a friend or two to help.

I'm doing the springs myself but having him adjust the torsion bars and do the alignment. I should have the springs and hardware by Wednesday so I think I'm just going to spray the bolts and nuts down with on blaster every other day till then lol

Dont level the truck until the springs have settled which will take about 500 miles. I did and ended up with the nose of my truck up in the air.

If he wants the front end as high as possible he shouldn't have a problem going to the 24".

He does have a point though, I didn't think about the leveling after leaf springs factor.

well I got it done boys with help from the forum, I replaced my leaf springs with oem ones + an add a leaf with all new hardware and adjusted the torsion bars. I think I might have to buy a leveling kit depending on how the rear settled the torsion bars had there limitation. We will see at least I won't have to use the blocks for the rear lol.
Thanks guys let me know what you think
