Default Performance Chip "Real or Fake"?

This sounds way to good to be true. Way to cheap, and very unbelievable. What do you guys/girls think??? I really want to know your honest opinions.

I gotta raise the flag on this one. Most manufactures actually run the vehicle lean. trying to get better fuel mileage. Optimum or Stoich as he called is is 13 to 1. Most non modded oem vehicles that come in the shop are 14.5 to 1 or leaner. Where are ya gonna plug in the "chip" on the new processors? Ihave seen up to 45 HP on a good tune. Claims of 60 plus is BS.

Ebay Performance modules that claim 4billion horsepower and what not are nothing more than a resistor that can be bought from Radio Shack for less than a dollar. They are to be put in line of the Intake Air temp sensor wiring to give the vehicle a reading of cooler air which tricks the ecu giving more fuel. They are a joke and it is amazing how many suckers are out there buying them

You should see the threads on the Ricer sites concerning this so called power chip. The wana-be Formula "D" crowd purchase these things and find out they have been ripped off. As W.C. Fields would say, "A sucker is born every minute".

Ya, i was talking to my dad about it and he said that i could go down to radio shack to get the resistor, and he would help me do the same thing to my truck to see if it even worked.
