payload
So I wanted to hear everyone's opinion regarding a dilemma I have since I generally don't tow anything, I want to know if I were to haul a pallet of stones that weight a total of 3000lbs in the back of my 98 f150. 4.6 flareside 2wd for a distance of about 1 mile would I be running a high risk of damaging my truck or will it be fine and complete this task like the champs these f150s are. Thanks in advance.

I had 1800 lbs of dirt in the bed of my truck and it hauled it like nothing. I personally wouldn't put 3k in the back of my truck just because when I max things out my truck breaks lol. Depending on the speed, 1 mile I would imagine you should be fine people do some crazy crap with these trucks.

1700 pounds is your max payload. Anymore and you risk breaking / damaging suspension and driveline components. Here is a link so you can check for yourself. http://www.fordf150.net/specs/03f150.php
