Default Parking Brake Light

My parking brake stays on all the time. If i the parking brake is set all the way to the floor the light will ususally go off, but it comes on whenever i hit a bump in the road. It seems like there is a loose connection maybe? ANy input would help.

Have you checked the connection at the parking brake sensor? It's at the top of the pedal.

Pull the release lever and with your left foot pull up on the pedal. This will seat the pedal in the retracted position and should turn off the light. The cable may be stretched and it doesn't allow the pedal to retract completely.

TheJMC was right... my cable is stretched but pulling up on the pedal works. Thanks
