Default Someone knows if the transmission is the same??

Hi people good morning, i have a 2000 F150 V6 4.2L 2WD, the Automatic transmission need to be replaced and i need to know if the transmission is the same for the V6 engine and the V8 engine, cause a guy is offering me one but it belongs to a F150 V8 4X4.
Is it possible to install that transmission?

Thanks so much!

Yep, KD is correct. The 4.2 has the old Windsor pattern.

Yes sir, totally different, Essex vs Modular. 4.2 uses the old 3.8 platform/set-up.

Impossible for a couple reasons. First, the bell pattern is not the same. Second, the wiring between a 97 and 99 are different.
