Overhead Console

Overhead Console
I just bought a 99 F150 XLT and would like to install a stock overhead console. I can pick one up off ebay for about 50 bucks but I am not sure how they mount to the headliner. Has anyone had theirs out? How do they mount? I'm kind of assuming the mounting points are probably already in the truck, but hidden above the headliner.
What wiring connections have to go up there? is it just power or are there other wires for things like the temp sender?
Is there a connector under the dash already in the wiring harness for it?
any help would be appreciated

ive been looking around for an over head unit myself for my 99 and came cross this guy.
in the write up he talks about having a wiring diagram he can sell. might be a good baseline, seems to have a fair bit of info

I have one on my 03 Supercrew just like yours and it is very easy to take out. There is a screw on the front of the unit(facing the windshield).Take that off. Then open the two compartments on the overhead unit itself to access the two screws holding it in place. Take those out. The unit sits on top of the roof trim so you don't have to worry. The wire connection is located at the front of unit with a single plug. Just disconnect that and reinstall your new one. Simple! I hope that helps!

If the truck doesnt have one already, youll need the temp sensor and the wiring harness. plus power to the battery and whatnot. but it looks like thats all included in that dealio up there ^^.
