Default Overdrive off button Stopped working!

My Overdrive off button on my shifter stoped working. I need to know how to fix it. I cant pull anything till it gets fixed. If you know anything about this problem please help me out

Im having the same problem with my 97 Expedition, I checked all my fuses but did not find any that blown? Hope there someone out there that knows how to fix this.

If you check the different parts stores, this button is readily available. For some reason this goes bad. I've seen them on eBay for 9.99 numerous times. RockAuto shows it also. The button tabs break sometimes, and cause the piece to be loose and short out. That and the fact they just quit working. Anyways, they are easily gotten, and take just a moment to install. Good luck

The only fuse I can find that could Possibly be used for this is #28 in the power box under the hood. I don't see anything in the fuse box under the dash. There is GEM module fuse in the dash box, but doesn't look if it would be used in this case. If it isn't the #28 in the PDB then I don't know where else to look.

Like I said in my earlier post, the switches do go bad for the o/d button. You can test it with a test light right there if you need to. The button comes loose easily and you can pull it up to unplug it and check it for power then. Good luck.
