Default Operating temp?

What is the normal operating temp for these trucks?
Any one have any pics? I feel like my truck runs much cooler

Im not sure. But by the temp gauge, i have never seen mine get to half. It always stays just under half.

Well if I convert the celcius reading from my truck, mine runs around 192. FYI, if you have the digital odo, u can hold the trip reset, then.turn the key on. It will go into a menu and show you digital readings so the gauges. It will not show oil pressure tho. Don't be alarmed when through oil psi shows 0...lol

ya i noticed mine tends to stay below half but never more then 1/3 of the way

It was around 60F outside.

This was about 2 minutes driving




And this happens in about 15 minutes, but I have never seen it higher

Normal operating temp is controlled by what temp thermostat you have installed...normally a 180-210 degree t-stat.

im aware of that, i think mine has a lower thermostat, not sure why truck never gets hot

supercrewzn..... that is really cool...some of the abbreviations it gives me tho dont make any sense....do u no where i can find a list of what they all stand for???

Umm check your thermostat because there is a possibility it is stuck open, and the coolant is constantly flooding the engine keeping it very cool. Your thermostat maybe rated at a much lower temperature than what the engine is rated for. There are also a lot of possibilities such as a bad temperature sensor, but as long as your engine runs and you don't notice anything funny I would leave it alone.
