Have searched the forum and cannot find an answer - so I'll ask here:

Have a 2001 F150 with V6 and 150K miles. The idiot guage keeps dropping to zero, was intermittant at first so I replaced the sending unit at the oil pump and it went away for a couple of months. Well yesterday it started doing the same thing, but is very rhythmic - I start the truck... the gauge cycles and comes up and in 15 seconds goes to zero - does that everytime now.

I have plenty of oil / good filter and oil pressure.

What should I check next?

If your in a cold air it could be the sensor. I doubt its really dropping though, your idiot gauge might but I bet your pressures still there
