Just go to napa. they can look it up and get you one ordered if they dont already have it in stock. Most other auto parts stores dont have them. May be in your best interest to bring it in also in case they want to compare threads.

To be honest, I'd just get yourself another gasket. Unless the plug itself is cracked or the pan has an irregular surface, I don't think getting a new plug is going to help you. A new gasket and cleaning the surface of the plug and the pan will likely get you the result you need. Plus a package will contain a couple of them for around $2. Just my 2¢

Also, if you are looking for bolts, many auto parts stores carry Motorcraft brand. If you want to pay more, just run to the dealership, and they'll have the Motorcraft stuff there as well. I really like Motorcraft replacement parts, trust me, but for bolts I wouldn't be too worried about grabbing what you can find at Autozone or Napa.

The price really is not that big of an increase and I am pretty sure that drain plugs are ford parts, not motorcraft. if you want oem then go to a dealership, they should have it in stock if they dont it shouldnt take more than a day to get.

What is stripping, the hex, the threads or the oil pan threads? Sure hope its the hex. Remember to get the plug with the built in O ring. Ford original.

Ya, napa is the best at getting the right stuff when it comes to technical or small parts. Dont get me wrong I hit the other parts stores for most things, but they suck at getting nuts, bolts and the small stuff right.
