Default off road lights

Starting this thread now to run it by you guys and make sure I'm not overlooking anything.

I'm doing this for fun and it's on the cheap, so no high dollar led light bars here.

These will be installed upside down on the plastic cross bar behind the grille ahead of the radiator. I plan to reinforce the cross bar with flat steel.

I may black out the chrome housings and vht tint the lenses for a stealth look. I may also upgrade the bulbs to 130w Hellas or HIDs at some point.
I've picked up 4 of these cheap!

I've got some 10awg copper wire from eBay for $15

2xParts express relays

2x In line blade 10awg fuse holders with 30amp fuses $5

And switches

I'll probably run some 16awg from the switch in the dash to the relays.

I'm going to keep the wires from the lights to the battery as short as possible. I'll tie both relays into one switch in the dash.

Any thoughts/concerns?

EDIT:
I do plan to use wire loom, plasti-dip, solder, and heatshrink where applicable as well.

Also, some silicone where the 10awg feeds into the housings

Excellent news. I'll update the thread when I get around to installing all of it then.

I would highly recommend buying another switch that allows you to change your power source for the switching side of the relay. So that you can switch it so your relays get powered off the high beam circuit. So that way you can have it where the blue switch will turn the lights on and off, or have it so those four lights can be run off the high beam switch. As the high beam switch is right there, easy to access and is a fast reflex grab if another car is coming. Because those spots will blind any driver in your way. Trust me.

My goal was to put together a setup superior to this one:
HELLA 005750991 500 Series 12-Volt/55-Watt Black Magic Halogen Driving Lamp Kit by HELLA http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00318JTCS/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_tfrKtb1M91F62
For less money.

Looks like I should be able to accomplish that.

Thats a good idea but if he switches to hids that wont go over very well. I used a lighted switch and just ran mine on a seperate circuit. Just dont run them where you have to worry about too many cars.

I like this option. So a 3 way switch?
Can you suggest an inexpensive one?

Amazon or eBay would be nice.

I did the hid conversion on mine and really am pleased with the results but I think I might would have wanted to go with the new leds if I could go back

Are leds available in many color temps? I'd like 4500 I think, but am seeing mostly 6k.

Anyways that project isn't going to happen this year.

I'm a huge fan of the interior leds in my jeep which come in a "pure white"
