Yea, you'll probably have to look around yourself to find a deal on those. What have you found so far, - all about the same price wise ?

Check out fleabay and craigs list as well.

Best price so for is $475. MSRP is $495 so I'd like to see it lower.

Yea, says 16 gauge, that's good. Never been a fan of their collectors, too short and small in diameter IMO. But your not running cats, so it might not matter, - just those little resonators lol. Although, you may want to ask your tuner. I believe OBX sell kits w/3" collectors, you may benefit from that.

I am the tuner. I'm not that worried about it but we'll see. I'm curious what the slight bump in compression with 39.5cc stock/mod heads and cams will do. All of my other builds have been blowers & TT mustangs.

I'm not really sure what numbers to expect being this is a 4wd slushbox but I'd like to see 390-400fwTq from everything combined. It might not seem like much for the cost but it should translate well with gears.

Flywheel torque is easy. I'm running a ported setup with cams and high compression. On pump fuel its definitely in the 380-400 FWTQ. But I run E85. More timing and cooler cylinder temps. Current setup is 313/363 on a Dynojet.

If your running stock cams you wont see much change in power. Also the merge collectors on OBX's are junk and are not high flowing at all. I had them. That is the reason I switched to Pacesetter for the Holley HVMC. Flow is much better will make more midrange grunt.

With my current setup it make peak torque around 2800 and holds it out to around 4400 with out losing much. Maybe around 10-15 ft lbs across the power band.

I'll be running MHS Torquer cams.

What mid pipe are you running? Welded or pressure clamped?

E85 is not even remotely an option for a vehicle the travels long distances and spends extended amounts of time near rural gas stations that don't have E85. I literally couldn't take a trip from Virginia to Michigan without lots of off freeway detours. My 96GT used to drive from Meijer to Meijer with E85.

Then there's the 30% more fuel needed for normal driving and even more at WOT to consider. The dollar per gallon might be cheaper but it doesn't make up the difference of needing to fill up more often. That 10-15% more power is not worth it for a DD.

Its definitely not a DD.. Its a fun truck mainly. I'm running a full 3" mandrel bent wleded OR Y utilizing a HVMC again. The only clamps in my system are the stainless band clamps on the slipfit on the headers themselves.
