Default OBDII connection is dead!

Went to Advance Auto to have a OBD test run for any codes. My connector in the cab where the tester plugs in does not work. Any suggestions on how i can get this running so i can check for codes? is there a fuse that runs this? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

Your obdII port is on the same fuse as your cigarette light, so check that first, and if it doesn't work, good chance it's the fuse

Your truck, like mine probably doesn't have a fuse map anywhere in it, don't bother looking for one in the owner's manual either because it isn't there, ford dropped the ball on it. It's the only 25A fuse on the panel by the driver's door. It's most likely burned, just like mine lol.

lol my manual must be missing a page, I had to use alldata to find out which fuse it was without pulling all of them. Odd thing is, the power port right next to the lighter works, but the lighter port does not.

Haha that sucks! Yeah the power port must be on a different circuit though they probably shoulda put the odb port on its own instead

lol it has it's own, number 12 it's a 5A, "Data Link Connector" is the description. They must have messed up the wiring.

Cigarette lighter fuse. I just had the exact same issue. Found the blown fuse which was the cigarette lighter fuse and sure enough that was it.

Thanks for the great info guys. I will check that fuse, I had no clue. I do have a map of the fuses for my 03' 5.4L screw. It shows Cigar lighter/Data Link Connector on position 3 of the compartment fuse panel with a 20A fuse.

In the power distribution box (under hood) at position 1 "Power Point" 20A fuse. What does this fuse control?
