Can someone tell me where to plug the OB11 code reader in, and if it will tell me which cylinder is miss-firing?

look under your dash and you should see a plug and if you have a misfire like i did it might b a coil which is a b to replace let me know if you dont find it

I don't think my 97 F150 with 4.6 has coils - They are an integrated part of the plug boot right?

Mine has two distributors, one on each side, and uses regular plug wires with long boots.

I just bought a set of Bosh premium wires, and NGK plugs, and i am praying it fixes the problem because I lost my job and cant afford to take it to the stealership. I'm going to pick up the OBD11 reader this morning - (Before i install the new plugs and wires.) Hoping it isolates the problem cylinder. Also bought a can of SeaFoam for the injectors.

(Not sure how I'll get at that back plug on passenger side.) I'd like to hang the design team - Ford has a course for techs on how to remove the cab so they can work on the engine.. - How stupid is that when there is at least 12" of wasted space at the front of that engine? Its not like they are building a mid-engine race car.
