Here's an update. I couldn't find the problem so I had it towed to my buddies shop. It evenually started blowing a large 30 amp fuse time and time again. He traced it down to a wire inline with the fuel pump, crankshaft sensor, etc. The wire was split open and grounding out. Running great now.

Thanks for the feedback. I had mentioned the EVTM (ELECTRICAL VACUUM TROUBLESHOOTING MANUAL). See if you can get this for future reference. Its the Bible of the techs tool box. Contact Helm.com. Believe you can view stuff on line for a price, or get the manual.
