250,000 miles on a modular only comes into play if the engine has been mistreated or neglected. I happened to prove that to myself as I was in disbelief at one time lol. Compresion is perfect, doesn't use oil between changes. 319,000 miles. I change it out at 3000 miles tho. I haven't put many miles on it in the last 6 years. I've only had to change the oil twice.

mine doesn't burn oil. And runs great. Although I'm not 100% on the oil part. It has a leak.

actually. It leaks bad during the summer but when it gets cold the oil level never changes but it still has a burning oil smell though. I think it's the valve cover gasket leaking on the header

could be the head gasket.
