The air just sopped blowing through the panel vents on my 2003 F150 supercrew. blows fine through the floow and defrost but when i switch to panel/floor it comes through the defrost and floor. Checked fuses - all are fine. anyone have any ideas?

Check the vacuum line going thru the firewall to the inner servos. If there is a leak it will default to defroster. Several members have had it cracked at the firewall. Look engine side near where heater hoses pase thru firewall.

I just bought an 02, and it seems to do the same thing. It will eventually, after about 2 minutes, decide it wants to blow out of the vents. I will investigate your location and check for cracked vacuum hoses bill.

Thanks Bill. Checked the vacuum lines starting at the firewall as you suggested. Appears that the red line is the one that controls the panels and everything seems fine except at the control panel itself. Dealer wants a cool $500 for replacement. Now the question is does anyone know where i can get my hands on a used control panel. not much at all pops up on search engines and finding a junked '03 has turned up little so far. Are there sevral year models that will work?
