Default new tires

I can get a really good deal on 38/15.5/16.5 with rims. I was wondering if I could fit them on my truck now. I have a 5 inch lift with cut fenders. Anyone think they will fit? Deal is for almost new tires and rims. Rims have 4.5 inch back spacing.

You think they will fit? What kind of damage do you think it would cause. Like brakes and rear end and steering.

If you're worried about damage don't put them on.

With larger, heavier tires you're always at risk for premature drive line failure. It takes more force from the brakes to stop. Don't be an idiot and drive like a sane person and you won't have any problem.

You'll lose some low end unless you re-gear to match you stock ratio. That would also take some of the added strain off your transmission.

you might need to get flares. but I would put them on and see if the stick out before you go that route with the fenders

Isn't your truck 2wd? If so they will deff not fit. I BARELY cleared 35x12.5 with 5.5" of lift

Are you sure they are even you're bolt pattern? Haven't seen many 5-lug 16.5" wheels.

Make sure they are your lug pattern. Also, as far as them sticking out, they are 15.5" wide, so they are going to be REALLY wide, but as far as them sticking out, it depends on the backspacing and offset of the wheels. I would imagine the reason they are selling the tires so cheap is barley anyone makes 16.5" rim.
