Default New tire suggestions.

I'm in the market for new tires. I have a set of bfg ko's in 285/70/17. Id like maybe a 295 or even a 305. I'm looking into the ko2's, but i want to know if there is a better all terrain. Not really looking for a mud tire. Share your opinions.

I am also looking for new tires for the spring, I have a list.
1-Goodyear Dura Tracs very highly rated but expensive.
2-General Grabber AT/2 Cheaper than the goodyears or BFG
3-Cooper AT3, best price and very highly rated
4-BFG as you had mentioned, they look the best and come standard 3 ply side wall.
5-Hankook Dynapro ATM, seems to be rated as best all around at tire by a couple of articles I read.
These are not in any order just as came to mind. have not decided yet as which I will go with. I have P265/70R17 and would like to move up to a 285, but that adds a fair bit to the price. I would like to buy tires made in North America.

I am running goodyear AT/s and love them on as off road, but it sounds like you are looking for a bigger more aggresive tire. If you like the ko2 Id try them, to me the cepek fun country and mickey Thompson ATZ are similar

The toyo open country all terrains look nice, toyo is a great brand with a great name. BrowningSCrew has them, maybe he'll chime in with a real world review on them but I do know he likes them.

As jackedup said, I'm running the Toyo Open Country A/T II XTremes and absolutely love them. I've had them on for over 20k miles and they still have a ton of tread left. They have great road manners, you can hear them, but they aren't mud tire loud, and quieter than the dynapro A/T's my dad had on his work truck. They do really well in dirt, decent on ice and snow, and surprisingly well in mud. They've never offered to leave me stuck so I'm quite happy with them. Attachment 365149

I ran Toyo A/T's and I loved them. When I go buy new tires I will either be going back to those or buying a set of Duratracs. I decided that I would get mud tires so it would go nice with my truck. That would be one of the list of mistakes I have made with this truck lol.

I've run the bf ko's loved the tire got a lot of mileage out of em. About a year and half ago I switched to the hankook dynapro mt and they are holding up probably even better than the bf. Road noise isn't that much different between the bf ko at and the hankook mt.

Where did you get the xtremes, and what size are you running? They seem a little tougher to get certain sizes.

I got them from my local tire shop. Ordered on a Friday, got them on the following Monday. They're 285/75/17's
