Default lights behind the grill

I was wondering to those who have hooked up off road lights behind the honeycomb grill. Is there somewhere to mount the lights or did you have to make custom tabs to attach them? A set of Hella Black Magic Rallye 1000's are in my trucks future and I really like the look of them behind the grill. And info would be appreciated or even pictures would be great.

They mount it on the plastic bracket that has the latch for the hood I believe.

Thanks, when it stopped raining I went out to look at what you were talking about. I would think that mounting lights to plastic wouldn't be too sturdy !?!

and I guess I should have asked what diameter lights people are putting in there. would 6" lights fit without the top half being under the hood

ive got 4 6in lights behind mine. theyre in upside down connected to the plastic piece. I want to make a metal bracket so they dont move around as much cuz goin down the trail you can see them wiggle a lil bit. I also want to mount some in the lower valance where the liciense plate goes.

Will they melt the grille if left on for a while?

I'm putting 2 k/c's behind my billet grill.

I'll be making a small metal light bar mount for them.

Jarrett, could you please post some up close pictures of them? Why did you mount them upside down? I saw the brace along the bottom of the grill, did I miss one along the top too?

I really like the clean look of them being hidden, which is also why i'm gonna go with the Hella's. And thanks for the input guys

i put some hella 700s behind mine theyre like 8.5" by 7"..had to flip them upside down, they wouldnt fit between the two horizontal fiberglass bars..took me a while to get them to stop bouncing around while im driving.
