Upon further inspection I found that was in fact RTV or something similar. Thanks for the help

EHP oil only means that it's a blended oil used for the diff.

EHP stands for Extra High Pressure. Means it has to have additives in it to withstand the high pressure between the gears under normal operation and especially under a load.

Yeah…that was my company that made those. Sold only a few. The world was not and it is probably still not ready for sculpture on the vehicle.

Be very wary of aftermarket diff covers. OEM covers are designed the way they are for a specific reason. The splash pattern associated with square and other aftermarket covers can be very detrimental to your differential.
