I've been searching for a truck few months for winter/hauling. I finally settled on an '01 F-150 XLT "Sport" today that fit into my budget. Super-Cab, 5.4L. Seems to be in pretty good shape, excellant body. I have a couple small mechanical issues to go through like a low speed vibration issue (u-joints?), but nothing too major. The truck also came out of Florida and the underbody is near spotless.

I'll get some pics up after I take off the factory step bars which do have rust on them. I swear every black painted set of these I've ever seen has rust on them.

welcome, i have almost the same truck, i have done alot of towing and have never had a problem, these are great trucks, good luck and post some pics.
