Carfax came up clean when I looked it up but about all that's on it after 98k miles is the state registrations being renewed.

Sadly carfax doesn't report anything unless it's reported to them. My Ranger was sideswiped and that repair wasn't there nor was any of the maintenance I did. Took it to the dealer in Feb and nothing there then either.

Well !@#!@%!#%!@$@! found a gas lea76yyyyyk (my cat says hi) under the truck this morning. Looks like it's coming from the tank. Not what I needed this morning.

Yay parts, got the plugs and the EGR line, sensor, and valve, just need the tubes to connect the sensor and the solenoid and I can completely replace the EGR system. Tank is being replaced tomorrow and should be good to go this weekend.

In regards to the emblems beings stolen, when the trucks came out they were being stolen around here off the dealership lots and sold on ebay. See there are still a few floating around for 100$

So started replacing the plugs and found a broken vacuum line of some sort. Not sure what the part is but the previous owner used electrical tape to "fix" it. Starting to get annoyed now.

So have been driving it a month now and fixed the vacuum leak and replaced most of the plugs. Still need to do the EGR system as the sensor is reporting a high voltage. Chugs a little when accelerating but getting 14.5 MPG right now and seems to be running good. Now if I can get a weekend that I'm not running dawife all over the bloody planet so I can work on the truck.

Not that anyone really cares but got it down to one code P0171 (lean bank 1.) Finally got a working EGR sensor and that killed most of the codes and it drove for 3 days without a code. Haven't replaced the O2 sensor's yet since dawife's escape decided to blow a coil pack (hidden under the bloody intake manifold of course, where else would you put the darned thing?)

Been playing with the BAFX and Forscan and getting a lot of information which is nice.

I'm lucky to get 15 on the freeway. Have to replace the front hubs now though as I'm getting a grinding noise from the front right. According to the haynes the bolts need to be at 150ish ft lbs of torque but I've seen people say that the repair manual says differently. Can anyone verify this for me?

Wheel hub bolts are 110 - 148 lb/ft.

The front axle hub nut is 188 - 254 lb/ft.

Ok, making myself a project list here:

Front hubs (check brakes and rotate tires)
Console temperature and compass fix
Replace pinion seal on rear differential - Need a recommendation here before I go to autozone/o'reilly's.
Change differential fluids and transmission fluid
Coolant flush and fill
Clean up headlights
Check 4x4 actuators
Thorough check of U joints

Optional but considering:
Replace tailgate
Replace rear bumper
Replace driver's seat if I can find a matching one
Put in a reverse camera and better reverse lights
Fix utility light on back of cab
Fix passenger tube step (if I can figure out how, not sure it can be fixed)
Fix rust spots as much as possible.
