it seems like there is nearly no connection between the two. Like there is a break in the line somewhere. I am going to clean up all the connections today and hope it fixes all my issues... I am plugging in my F150 every night... boo

Do you have a volt meter? If you do with the truck running see if the alternator is charging the battery.

The alternator is not charging the battery. However it is functioning properly. I have narrowed it down to there is a connection break between the alternator and the battery.

The alternator was charging at 10.25 volts. I cleaned some terminals and now its at 11.74 volts but the alternator is still not keeping up with demands... I am going to check for voltage drop in the charging cables next.

You the say the alternator is charging at 10volts but it is functioning properly? With a new alternator it should be charging at least 13.5 volts. Don't assume because it is new that it works. Put a voltmeter on your battery and have someone start it. It should measure 12.5 before and should not drop below 9 while starting and should immediately hop back to 12.5 - that rules out the battery.

they bench tested the alternator at napa and gave it a 100% passing grade. I am assuming they dont test the alternator voltage regulator?
