They dont like gravel, haven't had enough time behind the wheel in sand with them to tell, and they love rocks. These are the load range E tires and are 10 ply tires so they are heavy. I noticed the extra weight behind the pedal, but its not a huge difference. If my math is correct, I'll get 40k out of them (I religiously rotate them every 3k miles) It was between the Nitto Trail Grapplers and the Toyo Open Country MT, and I went with these because of price and sidewall. Once these need replaced,I'll be giving the Toyo's a chance.
Good to know. I was thinking about giving those a try. I was also toying with the idea of the nitto ridge grapplers. Looks like you keep the ride quality but they still have the aggressive side wall and keep the offroad capabilities.

I also need a tire with good snow performance and I am not sure either of those are good for that.

If I may suggest, the BFG A/T KO2's are highly recommended when it comes to snowy environments. The KO2's have an aggressive sidewall, they ride extremely well on the road, but they are absolutely trash when it comes to mud. I'd definately look into the BFG A/T KO2's since it seems like that fits what your going for.

Are you looking for a mud tire, or all terrain? I love my Toyo A/T II's but any Toyo tire is just stupid expensive. My next set will be Goodyear Dura tracs. I ran them for a period of time (less than a month) and I loved them.

I love the sexy look of a mud tire but for all practical purposes I do drive the truck in rush hour traffic every day. We also get a lot of snow here in Minnesota. Its tough to know...

I have narrowed it down to:
K02s
Duratrac
Cooper ATP

I'd run it between the KO2's and Duratracs. I have a bias for Duratrac though lol.

I read that K02 are not great on wet roads. I also read that they run small. Not sure if either of those things are true.
