Put a cheap double-din in my '98 Nascar edition (factory radio was dead, needed something). Ended up having to cut the inside of the dash out (the dash slopes down inside, the factory radio is a single-din with a large faceplate). Also had to hack up the radio surround to actually fit my radio and adapter. Doesn't look perfect, but seems to work fine. The radio I went with is a POS (Pyle double din digital only radio, shallow mount depth), but works well enough for me..

I replaced mine with a double din radio. As said ready had to cut inside the dash and trim the radio bezel to make it fit. It came out good and looks good too.

It's a 7 inch touch screen with DVD player.

The cuts beyond the black outer bezel trimming.

Thanks for all yall replys. So the time consuming part is just trimming it so it can fit flush. Okay. Every thing else goes in just as normal as any double din. like wiring and kit. Now to see if anybody has installed a tablet. Just want to go with something diffrent But I will Def consider the double din being the cheap and easy way to go for. Thanks again guys.

Alot will depend on the radio you choose. I have a double din but didnt have to the radio trim bezel.
