Default need help picture of 97 f150 front 4x4 diff

Can anyone here assist? I need a close up picture of a 97 f-150 front 4x4 diff, I just bought the truck and it seems to be missing some parts on the front diff going from the vacume motor to the shaft coming out of the front of the diff that turns left to right, something should be conecting these to engage the front axle correct? any help or advise would be great but a picture of it would be best for me so I can see the parts I will need to correct! you can e-mail pics to tjtim2@aol.com

Thanks All

Tim

Default Thanks but not much help

Thaks alot but this des not give me much help or assist, there has to be some linkage that ges from the vacume to the shaft of the front diff, seems it may bolt to the diff cover in some way, looks as if there is a thread with clean tap on it as if someone recently remove the parts or linkage, I am thinking they did it to stop 4x4 from engaging all the way to save fuel or something

Default thanks figured it out though

Well a process of elimination I figured it out, some AH decided to disconnect eveything and anything that had to do with the 4x4 and basically make it 2x4 except for removing the transfer case, the linkage on front axle was missing but vacume was there, the switch at the dash was there but unpluged, and the shift motor at the transmission was completly removed but the harness is there, so got the linkage at ford, tested front diff operation all works fine, pluged the dash switch back in also, had to order the trans shift motor it will be in on monday, I am going to install myself and then try it, if it still does not work then I know to just send it in for the rest of the work it may need, I got to get it fixed I am in Erie, Pa right on the snow belt and we have been hit hard for the past two weeks and it don't look much better, any how thanks for the chart diagrams they were a great assist!

What is the deal with all you guys wanting to lower a 4x4?????? If you want to lower a truck make sure it is a 2wd. 4x4's are not meant to be lowered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
