I think I may have got in over my head! I'm trying to install a new GEM on my '97. I've got half the instrument panel apart but the fuse box and GEM are still solidly in place. Can't seem to take enough things apart to get access! What am I missing here? Do I need to take the whole I/P apart? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unbolt the main wiring harness that is going through the firewall. Its the back side of the GEM.
