Default Need help with customization!

I'm just now getting a 1999 Ford F-150 and I have no idea how to customize it or what to add to it. I want to add some power to the engine of course, make it sound nice, and obviously make it just look like a nice truck. If someone would post on how to add power, sound, or just custom ideas I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

What engine size?
Custom dual exhaust for a nice sound
Longtube headers if you have the 5.4L for some tq and sound
Programmer/tuner for power, fuel economy, throttle response
Gotts mod or Cold air intake for sound and throttle response. Maybe some fuel economy.

Zip-tie mod for added throttle response. Guaranteed your truck could use this, search it up. It only costs whatever 5 zipties cost and takes 30 seconds to do.

To make it look sharper get some color coded touch up paint and fix any little dings in the paint. Then get it taken to a detail shop and have the WHOLE truck detailed. The truck is 15 years old, it could probably use it.

Lightning headlights and taillights from ebay make it look very clean and can help with light output because if your headlights are stock I wouldnt doubt they are yellowed and foggy as hell.
Give your grille a fresh coat of black paint, or put a grille insert in. I'm partial to the aluminum billet grilles myself.

Swap all the bulbs in the truck to led bulbs for added interior light.

Have fun with modding your truck and put a little of your personality into it. Make your truck, YOUR truck.

Lots of ideas in there. If the links don't work, search the title to find the threads.

If you want to level the truck you can turn your stock torsion keys in a few turns to lift the front of your truck a little bit too.

Step 1: Find where your torsion keys are. Follow the torsion bar from the front of the truck to where it originates. Should be under the truck in the same line as the door handles.
Step 2: Jack up the front end so its off the ground.
Step 3: Give the bolt that is on the Tbar key about 3 full turns clockwise, then turn the bolt on the other sides Tbar key 3 full turns clockwise. Pull the jack and check the ride height. If it looks nice and level leave it. I turned mine in about 6 turns for about 2"s of lift.
Step 4: Adjust Tbars to make the truck look good.
There is lots of info on this site about Torsion key lifts. One of the stickied threads is all about fitting 35" tires with just a torsion crank.
