Yes, just the connector on #6. That will keep it from dumping raw fuel and fuel soaking, blasting the converter.

The EGR isn't really serviceable. Well, you can attempt to clean the valve area, but whatever you do, don't blow compressed air into the valve, you'll explode/compromise the diaphragm and it will never work again. The diaphragm is fragile. Has to be to work with vacuum. You can blow it clean after a few deep breaths, but that's about it.

Funny you mentioned that, i already did it. Lol figure itll hold me over til i get paid.

So....problem solved. Cylinder 6 was an old plug and coil. EGR was also stuck open. Had my buddy loan me some cash to fix it up. New EGR and plug/coil...good as new. Thing runs butter smooth, and gets up and goes like a pissed off kitty. Thanks for all the help guys.

Now Ive ran into another issue. The cruise control worked before i fixed the EGR etc. Now when i turn it on and hit the set button, the light comes on and stays on, but my cruise wont work. Any ideas? Ive checked all the harnesses and vac lines and they all seem to be in place.

If you have a recall harness, check the tapped up fuse. The holder is tapped up and tagged "DO NOT CHANGE FUSE", so change the fuse (unless it's covered in brake fluid). Other than that, check fuses outlined in your owners and all connections in the vicinity of your work area.
