1998 lower ball joint question.
Hello guys. I have that front end squeaky noise. Last night I replaced my rotors and pads. While I was at it I also replaced bearings and both upper arm controls and shocks. I still have the squeak and narrowed it down to lower ball joint. I do not have the time to replace it for about a month. My question is; Is it dangerous driving the truck around with a squeaky worn out lower ball joint? Could it wait a month? In the past I have seen cars that have their tire/rim cave in from what seemed to be like a bad ball joint. Any advice?

Also would it be easier to replace the whole arm or just ball joint?

My truck had worn lower ball joints for two years so you should be fine. Finally got them fixed last week! The bolts were about to break through the top of the ball joints so good thing I replaced them when I did. I hated the squeaking, so glad its gone. And I just replaced the lower ball joints not the arm
Does it kinda squeak when you turn your wheel? You have to replace the upper ball joints to fix that too.

I think I am going to replace the entire lower arm since it comes with a new ball joint in it already. This way all bushings will be new as well. Also I am going to replace tie rod ends. All the parts are not that expensive probably around 200 bucks. Overall job doesn't look that hard. Mechanics want to charge close to 900 for the work. So believe me I will figure it out lol. Not being cheap just don't have that kinda money lol.

lol geez I will drive slow for the next month. Was this your truck? If it was, what caused it lower or upper? Also did you have squeaking or clunking any kind of warning?
