I'm on page 3 here, I edited some on page two, just the couple of posts. So you may want to check those first.

Sorry, didn't know we were finished. I saw several blank posts but no text in them. Your help has been invaluable, and yet I still have two remaining issues. Guess I thought you could help on those too, again sorry, but your help was much appreciated, thank you. Hopefully someone can still straighten me out on my last two issues and I can get her running. Appreciate everyone's help time and info.

It's not you alone, it ads up.
I'll give you this, -
Look very carefully at your ignition harness and IAC. You have it connected wrong.

I was wondering about that. It looks like one of the COP connectors but I thought I checked them a couple times but ilk check again. Had 2 teeth pulled Wed. so I'm not at the top of my game. Well sorry about the misunderstanding and thanks again for the info. I'll definitely check it out again. :-)

Yea, I just had a root canal recently. They numbed me up so well I couldn't talk after, for quite awhile....but hey, I can type. I guess it didn't help with all that gauze they shoved in there.
Anyway, it's a common mistake. The IAC uses the SAME type connector and it reaches to #8 without a problem. So yea, many many have used the IAC connector for #8 vs #8 coil connector, - then you end up with an extra connector along with scratching your head.
So disconnect the ignition harness, then start plugging things back in , but start at the IAC first, then go to #8 - #5.

Yeah, that's weird. At first there was some text then it just disappeared. I take it that that plug is at the rear of the intake? Haven't run it yet. Hope I'm Getting close though. Someone moved a bunch of my parts so its been hard relocating them. Finally found the water pump pulley but looked everywhere and can't find another idler pulley so I'm hoping I didn't have one. Guess I'll find out when I start it, lol. Anyway, tomorrow before work I'll hopefully get that connector issue straightened out and get the top radiator hose on and fill her up. She's not quite as clean as yours right now but getting her running is the first priority. Cleaning and a little bling can come later, ha ha. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks and have a Happy 4th of July!
