Default MyFX4Project Build Thread!!!

Alright guys, i've got some time on my hands so here we go...

Bought my truck, 2002 FX4 Scab 5.4l, with 117k miles on her in July of 2011. Bone stock. Literally bone stock, i dont think anything was kept up on besides oil changes and tires...

First off i got some exhaust on her. Magnaflow SI/SO dumped. Not great but only temporary.

Wanted some light output so bought this off craigslist for 100 bucks or so.

Next on the list was a PA 3 inch body lift. Bought one for 200 bucks with gap guards on craigslist (from 03liftedscrew)

Bought a CB radio off of craigslist for 75 bucks. Cobra 29 LTD Chrome brand new in the box. Got a PA speaker and whips, and mounted those up.

Got sick of the roll bar finally and got a black toolbox for 75 bucks (Craigslist) and sold the light bar for 125 :waytogo:
I also replaced my solid back window for a slider from a scrap truck we had at my auto tech school.

Got some new Black Lightning headlights with 6000k HIDS for $100 off craigslist and soon after i bought some new tires 315/70/17 Goodyear Duratracs

Bought a SuperDuty Tailgate w/ step off Craigslist for $200. Got it PTM for $230ish and sold my old tailgate for $100. So about $330 for an $800 tailgate :flipthebird:

Bought a light bar from ROSSI that he had on his 2002. Installed but no lights yet.

Undercoated my frame (partially, i still have a lot to do)

Raptor Lights

Depo Fogs

Mudding caught up to me quick. After this day i blew a head gasket. I think it was a combination of bad coolant (thick, murky brown like-paint, coolant), thick mud covering my truck and engine and radiator, and 100 degree weather. Oh yeah and the fact that the previous owner didnt do a damn thing maintenance wise.

So me and my buddy dug into it. Had it torn down to the block but didnt pull the block.

Heads

Heads were warped, shaved down .008" and reinstalled with FelPro Gaskets. Also put in new spark plugs, water pump, upper and lower radiator hose, coolant tank, thermostat, timing chain guides, and prob forgetting some things..

Since we decided to cut my exhaust manifolds off for easier removal, i bought these. OBX Longtube Headers with no cats.

Installed them while managing to brake my dipstick tube off flush with the block.

Got that fixed and realized i had a bad front hub. Replaced both front hubs, rotors, and pads. Need to do the back soon.

Few other odds and ends that i've done:
Plastidipped front and rear bumpers and emblems (Replacing them with 09+ eventually)
Floor mats from 09+ F150s
Painted grille black
Lined the inside of my toolbox
HIDs went out so replaced with Silverstar Ultras
Gotts mod w/ k&n filter
I run mobile 1 Full synthetic with mobil 1 filter.
Took off the red pinstripe between grey and blue

Heres some more pics

More to come very soon!!
-4.56 Gears
-Diablosport Predator
-Shocks
-Lights for light bar
-Bull bar w/ 2 KCs
-Double din/10" subs/2 way speakers all around
-New wheels

I've got a few more projects that i'm working on but i'll keep those a secret

Heres my exhaust set up. Not as loud as i originally thought it would be, but really pleased with the outcome, its not too loud but i have a nice magnaflow rumble and when i step on it the lil cars in front can hear me coming.

If you didnt know, i have OBX longtubes (no cats) Magnaflow tru-x pipe, Two 14" Magnaflow mufflers, and two 12"x3.5" black tips. All with 2.5" pipe.
Here's the pictures.

I was going to leave those out expecting nobody to say anything and leave it a surprise. Shoulda known better lol

I still need lights for the PIAA and still need to get the hood painted and drilled for some washer fluid nozzles.

Man those headers look sweet, wish I could have a set, but I can't, heading to California soon to my next ship, so I may end up with shorties.
