My TT 5.4 2V build thread
#201
I still dont know if im going 2v or 4v. But I need to order pistons and rods to get the bottom end done.
Considering the PI heads have 42cc chambers and the 4v has 52cc has made me deliberate on the pistons. The block was bored .020 over, so bore size is 3.572
stock stroke.
Going with 18cc dished and the 2v with give me 8.94 (static)
Going with 18cc dished and the 4v will give me 8.11 (static).
I think both of those would work either way I went.

Your numbers are slightly off. It really depends on where the pistons installed height falls. I build my engines for 0 deck, which typically gives the better quinch areas. At 0 deck the 4v will be closer to 9.2:1 and the 2v will be closer to 10:1. It really will fall down on deck height. Did you measure the factory deck height?
