Default my truck does not like me today HELP

i have a 97 f150 4.6 ex-cab. today the door ajar light will not turn off and the inside lights are staying on also. i slamed all 3 doors and nothing. please help me out thanks in advance.

mi 97 did the same thing, is there any dirt built up around the latches? the other thing i did was spray the crap out of the latches with liquid wrench penetrating oil.

Suggest that one of the door switches is not working. The challenge is to find which one.

Post mine too

mine also did that twice infact first time was an easy enough fix spray the **** out of it and the second was a sensor had to be replaced...

I think its a door switch too. Time to start pulling them apart and ohming them out.

Had that happen to mine a few years ago. Spray all the latches with a good oil/grease (I used white lithium grease on mine) and the problem went away. If that does not help then its a bad latch and you will have to troubleshoot which one is bad. Alot of problems can be prevented by normal maintenance on your vehicle by the manual. Everyone remembers to change the oil and filter but forget to lube the u-joints and door latches when they do the maintenance.

I think in the 7 years that has passed, the issue was resolved lol.
