99 16X7 Aluminum Wheels

Do the 5 oval aluminum wheels have a special coating on them? I wanted to see if I could buff out some small scratches but didn't want to make them worse.

I don't know about coating but that's a clean truck.

I use whatever chrome wheel polish attracts my eye on my aftermarket wheels. Turtle wax I think I'm using now.
