My Saturday afternoon roll on Duplicolor Bed Liner project//////
Well I decided to give this a shot. I went the cheapest route I could find (I love saving money) Anyway I went to walmart and bought one gallon of the of the Duplicolor . I also picked up the roller applicators. Came back to the shop and pulled out the tool box and bed mat and washed the bed out real good. Then went over it with a sander (250 grit) just to rough it up for adhering purposes. Then washed it out again.
After maskng of the tailgate sides and any areas you don't want it to get it's ready for the first coat.
Then we pulled it out in to the sun and let dry.
Next for the 2nd and 3rd coats in the same way.
Then we let dry in the sun. Didn't take long in this heat for it to get dry. When completely dry it will start getting more of a flat sheen to it.then we pulled the masking tape and put the toll box back in.
And that's it. Very simple DIY that cost a around $50 to do.
While I was waiting I also Installed these Bully aluminum gas and brake pedals
Tell me what yall think.

Looks good, is the duplicolor just a paint? is it similar to the herculiner stuff?? a rubber type substance? or is it more like an epoxy paint?
I am thinking about lining my bed with this stuff under my plastic bed liner for added protection from the salt and nasty up here in New England.

Yes it's a rubberized type stuff that is real thick. It's just a cheaper version of the herculiner stuff. ( When it's mixed up/mixing it up well is a must) it would be great for added protection under your bed liner.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but westtnfx how much did you pay for the duplicolor stuff, only price I have found it, wants $70 a gallon. Is that in the ballpark of what you paid?
I am looking for the stuff so I can lay it down in my bed when I get my truck back from the auto body shop.
Thanks
