so no clearance issues with the lens?

Not that I am doing it again, but if these fit with minimal work I will kick myself for not doing D2S.
The H1 Mini is a huge improvement over stock and love the light output, but still.

Only spent about 5 minutes with a sanding roll where the bulb sat. The aftermarket basket used a insert to aling the bulb. Once I tool the bulb out I need to clearance about 1/16" of a inche for the projector to pass thru. The hardest part was leveling the projector, and cutting the alignment slot for the alignment plate. I did leave about 3/64" around them so if i need to rotate the projector I can.

I will need to trim the shroud as it wont lock in completely.

Here are some more pictures with a slight teaser. FYI Permaseal is a pain in the ***. What would have been quick and easy has turned into a weekend burning the midnight oil. But progress is being made. On to the pictures.

Fixing the damage from trying to open the first housing:

Painted the second housing:

Painted the shrouds:

A little teaser of one of the many mods I am adding to the the entire process.

The colors I used are the closet match I could get to my truck minus the metallic. I didnt really feel the need to special order paint just for this process.

What does your truck look like? I have the same Harley Heads.

Edit: I found it, You should post more pictures of it. That's not a very common color. ..at least it's not posted here very often.

I'm taking my time. Permaseal was a real pita to deal with. Currently working on getting the other housing fixed and ready for paint. Then I'll be installing the projectors. I allready have my harness installed in the truck and once the aiming and rotation of the projectors are done I'll be finishing them up.
