Default My First "Real" truck - I've bought a 2003 F150 Heritage Edition

It only took 38 yrs; but 48 hours ago I bought this F150... So I've owned countless vehicles over the years; many cars and trucks. Well I should say I thought I had trucks, as 2 were Rangers and 2 were Dodge Dakotas.

Was I wrong, Friday I bought my "first" truck - a 2003 F150 Heritage Edition Supercab 4x4. This is one nice truck. I drove six hours into another state to pick her up. I traded a Jeep Wrangler for her. I had been searching the internet for about a week for a good F150 and came upon my truck to be.

Did I say this is a nice truck!! She has a great paint job - two tone Black/Silver, a 5.4 Triton, XLT Package, 4x4 Supercab, power adjustable pedals, Chrome Side Bars, CD Stereo, and Tow Package. Yesterday, I added all new tires as the ones in the pics were really bad. I added Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's 265/70/17.

Anyway just wanted to say, "hey" to all the fellow F150 owners out there, as I've now been one for 48 hours . Please check out more pics of this truck in my album: http://www.f150forum.com/members/miles99-18371/albums/2003-f150-heritage-edition-4x4-supercab/

it's a great looking truck for sure! Can someone explain though - I thought only the 2004 models were Heritage editions owing to the fact that they were older bodystyles made concurrently alongside the new bodystyle 2004's?

Default There are no 2004 "Heritage Edition" F150s

There are no 2004 "Heritage Edition" F150s. The 2003 was the only "Heritage Edition" F150. It was to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Ford 1903-2003. It has three special badges seen in the first post of this thread and placed on the right, left, and rear of the truck. It also, had this unique two tone paint job. It was available in Black/Burgundy, Black/Shadow Gray, and Black/Tan. From what I've heard or read it was a $2000.00 option.

The 2004s are just left over 2003's before the body change and they called them a Heritage not the Heritage Edition, also none of the Heritage Edition features. The only thing they had was a plain named badge on the rear that said heritage. It was a marketing maneuver to move all of the leftover 2003 F150s as a 2004. The 2003 is the only Heritage Edition F150.

I am still learning and researching, but this is what I have learned so far.
