You really are going all out... Did the heads have high mileage on it or something. N/A I would have just polished them up. I dont think you will have any issue with intake or exhaust lol

Only about 130k on entire engine but i figured itd be better in the long run to know exactly what has been replaced. I never knew the previous owner so who knows if the engine ever had issues. Just makes more sense in my head to replace everything while I can.

So how hard would it be to install the new valves, cams, springs, valve seals myself? Any thing special id have to do or just typical spring compressor and torque wrench? Thinking if I strip them down and install them myself I can save some money and get the heads back faster...

Alright so I encountered my first problem. Little bracket that hangs off the oil pump pick up tube is coming in contact with my crankshaft. Cut the bracket off or is there some sort of fancy use for it?

The bracket is on the backside of that tube and hangs down near where the crank rotates. It only hits the part of the crank right up near the front of the block. Wrong oil pump maybe? This is a high volume oil pump so maybe thats it? Everything else matches up fine.

The same oil pump is on MMRs website saying it will fit all 4v 4.6s all 2vs and 5.4s basically everything except a 3v. I ordered from another website because it was cheaper than MMR but its the same advertised oil pump.

Might go to ford and just get a stock one and try selling this one on the mustang forums.
