Yeah its forged. Most all of the 5.4s had forged cranks and I know for sure the navigators had forged cranks...

Im gonna talk to my machinist and see what he thinks of the heads and what he suggests to do. Ive not heard any bad things about him so he should guide me in the right direction.

Nope, not all navi's have forged cranks. I have a 32V from a 99 with a cast (c/n XL3E BA) crankshaft.

It was hit or miss with these 5.4's in trucks, it all depended on timing.

Ohh well mines an 04 navi. Ill ask my machinist when I pick it up.

Reguardless both cranks will hold 500hp/tq.... Jesus, I fogot you had 4.56's. That truck is going to be a towing beast!!

Haha yup. For as much as I tow (never) it will get the job done haha

Might get a small fishin boat this spring to pull around and the occasional tow of a friends broken down car but other than that I never tow.

You will def be happy with your enginge then. I can def see your numbers close to stock "L" numbers. With the addition of better fuel economy.

Hell a stock 4v puts down impressive numbers.. Not close to a L. All the 03+ 4v have forged cranks.
