Your wiring harnees wont reall need much. See if you can find a engine harness from a 01 Navigator with the 4v in it. Direct swap and will only need a tune because 4v's love timing. Looks to be a 01/03 by the intake ports. 4v is the way to go.. when my NPI/PI setup grenades a 4v will be replacing it.

I'm fairly certain 2v's from 02 up all have forged cranks, regardless if they are N/A or supercharged blocks.

The weak link in 2v's are the rods and pistons. Definitely get those replaced with something better.

Aw hell ya. This is hot rodding. I'm subscribed.

4V's are so awesome. Spark plug changes will be a breeze, and no more spitting plugs. Not to mention you can rev the **** outta them.

The only obstacles I've heard with installing 4v engines are:
  • Exhaust manifold fitment (obviously since the heads are different) hopefully you have the stockers?
  • ECM on the NAVI was for the 4r100 tranny. Not sure which on you have.
  • Injectors will require ev1 to ev6 adapters
  • COPS will have to be reversed

I have the stock exhaust manifolds. Might throw shortys on it though just because I want to replace the studs and such while the motor is out and ready.
I have 4r70w so I know there will be some issues with the computer.
Thanks for injector tip!!
Explain this COP reversed thing...

Is something wrong with your 2v? It's only got like 135,000 right?

Yup 143k now and it runs like a champ!

But a 4v is way more badass.
