I can't take this kind of pressure, lol..the community will love whatever route you choose. Ya know I have been thinking a lot and the only thing that bugs me about staying 2V is how dirt and water can get down to the plugs. They are covered on the 4V. Tough decision. For reliability and less chance of something going wrong, you should go 4V. I mean I haven't had any trouble with my setup at all, just saying there is a better chance for something to happen. What way are you leaning.....

Dude I can't take this pressure either lol I've got every option right now its just what I REALLY want to do. Which I can't decide on lol

The 4v will probably cost more in the long run with the extra cams and everything but then again I already have it torn apart. But I also have a 2v torn apart lol

So either way you're building a bottom end. It's the heads that will be your money. If I were you I would use stock cams. Honestly 25hp from cams isn't worth $1400 (4V). Maybe I can see it for a 2v ($550) but man I would just rebuild some stock heads if you go the 2v option, port the blower, add 6lb lower pulley and run that bitch, excuse me got excited..you'd be just shy of 500hp

My personal opinion is to continue with the 4v setup. S/C'd 2v are great but i get tired of all the crap that ends up in the plug holes. At least with the 4v they are covered along with a decent cam setup and tune i could imagine a N/A 4v making 360-375 tq to the wheels.. Remember with all that extra power your trans wont like you.

The good thing is with the 4V there is A LOT of info on Ford GT, GT500, and Cobra builds that can show shortcuts and product lines to mod the 5.4L 4V. The only real aftermarket for 2v is for Lightning SC 5.4L.

Build the 2v up if you have the choice. Then drop a kenne bell or whipple on it. I would think you would get much more HP for your dollar with the 2v

my 2cents.

Right but then your in the territory where you will have to build a transmission. I would go with the 4v. Build the bottom end and over time source the parts to add a slightly ported Eaton from a GT500 and have a built trans thrown in at some point. The 4v will net more usable power and not be detrimental to the trans at this point in time.

What trans does your truck have? I'm guessing the 4r100
