Heres what ive found to be true..

If you go high volume oil pump, you must use this specific pickup tube from modmax racing and a navi oil pan. (Cobra pickup wont work)

Or use the stock navi oil pump, pick up, and a 99-00 pan.

Did you get a chance to talk to the folks at modmax? Been thinking about getting a shortblock from them. Ive heard some good stuff about them.

Nah didnt talk to them just ordered the pump. They seem to have pretty good prices though.

Nice... Going with all factory colors? Besides the valve covers.

Did you get the torque specs I posted in the other thread?

Valve covers and timing cover are silver. Thats gonna be all the painting I do unless its painting other parts black that look crusty. Just a clean black and silver look nothing crazy. And its just a silver can I picked up off the shelf lol

Went and talked to my builder today... he said $280-$320 for a 3 angle valve job and to install my new valves and springs. Ill probably just install the cams myself and do the timing of everything. Just gonna be stock timing so it should be pretty easy to line everything up.

Uhh just using my stock ones I guess. Might order some new valve guides too but for all the work $320 didnt sound too bad.
